Tackling congestion in Forest of Dean

Last week, I had a productive meeting with Roads Minister Lilian Greenwood and Monmouthshire MP Catherine Fookes MP to discuss long-standing local congestion issues.
I’ve been actively lobbying for a much-needed third bridge crossing to tackle the persistent traffic problems in the Forest of Dean.
The Minister was clear that she is open to listening to all options, which is a positive step forward. Over the coming months, I’ll be meeting with National Highways, Gloucestershire County Council (GCC), and other key stakeholders to ensure this issue remains a priority.
I’ll continue to keep you updated on my progress and welcome any thoughts or feedback you’d like to share regarding the state of our roads via email at matt.bishop.mp@parliament.uk
